CALL TO ACTION: Can you afford to spend $1.00 per gallon in TAXES at the pump?

WA State  House Democrats have proposed a $26 Billion transportation package that includes 28 individual fees! This will be detrimental to agriculture, leaving farmers pockets empty and their communities hungry.

Please explain to us how this is a #OneWashington approach?

Testify against this added cost to your farm. The hearing for HB 1135 is Tomorrow at 3:30. Please make your voice heard by volunteering to testify or submit written comments.

Tell the legislature enough is enough!

Here’s what you need to do to sign in as opposed to this bill:

Step One: Begin by clicking here.

At the top of the page, find the word “Committee:” Just to the right of “Committee:” click on the green button titled “Please Select”

In the pull down menu that appears, click on “Transportation”

Next move your cursor to the other green button titled "Please Select” located to the right of “Meetings.”

In this pull down menu, please select “1/21/2021 3:30 PM” Once you do this, two agenda items will appear just below.

First click on “SB 1135 Health Transp. Budget 2021-2023”

In the next box below that titled “Select type of testimony, click on the third option “I would like my position noted for the legislative record”

Step Two: Provide your name and contact information.

The first box asks for your position on this bill. Please choose “con”.

Next provide your name and address. For address, you can use your PO Box.

If you don’t want to use your home address, feel free to use the WA Farm Bureau address: 975 Carpenter Road NE, Lacey, WA 98516.

Finally, click on “I’m not a robot” and then click on “Submit Registration” and you’re done.

Please note you must sign in on these bills before 2:30 pm tomorrow.
