Edit Promo Post Election Integrity

On November 30th the PCO's of the 39th Legislative District met in Arlington and voted on their top three reccomendations to be the states next 39th Legislative District Senate Representative (replacing the resigning Kirk Pearson) . 29 PCO's showed up to cast ballots, 20 from Snohomish and 9 from Skagit. Our own Skagit County Republican Party Member and Sedro-Wolley Mayor Keith Wagoner was the PCO's first choice. Keith put forward a compelling argument to the PCO's about why he should be the new State Senator. Here are the results:

First Ballot: Keith Wagoner 11, Elizabeth Scott 10, Georgene Faries 8

Second Ballot: Keith Wagoner 15, Elizabeth Scott 14

Third Ballot: Elizabeth Scott 20, Georgene Faries 9

Final Ranking:

First Choice Candidate: Keith Wagoner (Sedro-Woolley)

Second Choice Candidate: Elizabeth Scott (Monroe)

Third Choice Candidate: Georgene Faries (Arlington)

After the results are ratified by the Washington State Republican Party, the Snohomish County Council, the Skagit County Board of Commissioners and the King County Council will conduct interviews with the 3 candidates, then there will be an official joint meeting on January 3rd to appoint one of the three nominees as the new LD 39 State Senator.
