Bills we are AGAINST
HB 1068 Exempting election security information from public records disclosure.
House Bill 1496 – Income tax on capital gains. The bill was just dropped last week with a 7% rate on real property and a 9.9% rate on all other non-exempt capital assets. Hearing scheduled for Thursday Feb. 11th at 8 AM. Here is the link to the hearing.
SB 5227 & SB 5044 - In part BML Inc. antiracism indoctonation for school board directors, staff and ALL students at public institutions of higher education. Focuses on diversity, equity, inclusion, and antiracism training and assessments.
HB 1499 -- Would effectively legalize all “personal” drug possession to include heroin, meth, cocaine, and anything else. If someone, even a school-aged child, is caught with “personal” drugs, up to and including a heroin needle inserted in their arm, no arrests could be made and no fines imposed.
House Bill 1091 – Low-carbon fuel standard mandate.
House Bill 1054 & House Bill 1310 - Regarding defunding the police.
Bills we are FOR
Senate Bill 5081: Places the burden of proof on the agency in any dispute involving an enforcement action undertaken by the agency.
Senate Bill 5434: Concerning elections and voter confidence.
Senate Bill 5435: Permitting holders of disabled American veteran license plates and holders of Purple Heart license plates to utilize parking spaces reserved for persons with physical disabilities.
House Bill 1321 – Move all regions/counties to phase 2 of governor’s reopening plan (House bill has not received a public hearing)
House Bill 1029 – Limit the governor’s emergency powers (has not received a public hearing).
House Bill 1228 – End the eviction moratorium, create Emergency Rental Assistance Grant Program to assist tenants and landlords (received a public hearing on Jan. 28).
