The word "Republic" comes from the Latin meaning "Public Thing" / "The Law". Our Founding Fathers gave us a Republican form a Government based on "The Rule of Law."
Republican: Belonging to, or characteristic of a Republic (of a form of government, constitution, etc.). Advocating or supporting republican government.
"The essence of freedom is the proper limitation of government".
