WA State will be the second state, behind California, to implement this FAR REACHING, eventual TOTAL CHANGE to our business practices and costs of fuel/gas.
1. Cost of gas/fuel and home energy use will INCREASE.
(HOMES & AGRICULTURE WILL SUFFER MORE $$$ INCREASED COSTS-TRANSPORTATION COSTS INCREASE)
2. SB 5126 creates a new "ENVIROMENTAL JUSTICE and EQUITY PANEL" to oversee and regulate climate change policies
(EVER EXPANDING, LARGER "GOVT CONTROL")
3. Bill will put a CAP on carbon emissions and control energy usage!
Cap and trade policies turn carbon emissions into a commodity that can be marketed and traded. (WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU DON'T COMPLY WITH ALL THEIR NEW "POLICIES"- CAN'T BUY OR SELL, MORE BUSINESSES SHUT DOWN? LIMITS YOUR TRAVEL AND USAGE!)
4. CA policies have NOT proven to reach the goal of pollution reduction (MORE SPENDING OF OUR TAXPAYERS $ FOR MORE GOVT CONTROL WITH NO PROVEN RESULTS)
BILL SB 5126 is why Gov Inslee was in SKAGIT COUNTY last week to promote his "CLIMATE COMMITMENT ACT -AGENDA". This affects ALL of Washington State!
