The Skagit County Republican Party will have its annual Summer Salmon Barbecue on Saturday, July 22nd at the Burlington Skagit River Park Playfields. BBQ begins at noon and at 12:30 PM our special guest speaker Glen Morgan takes the stage.
Glen was the Director of the Property Rights Division of the Freedom Foundation from 2011 to 2015 and now is the Washington State Executive Director of CAPR (Citizens Alliance for Property Rights). He will be talking about property rights issues and his progress this year working with local governments and the Washington State Legislature.
Please bring your appetites and get ready for some delicious salmon and for those of you who do not eat fish we will also be serving hamburgers, hot dogs, salad, coleslaw, bread and even homemade cookies ! Soda and bottled water will be also provided for drinks.
The venue is in a beautiful setting near the banks of the Skagit River; located on E. Whitmarsh Road (just south of Pease Rd. in the covered picnic area). From I-5 take exit 229 George Hopper Road, go one block east to Burlington Blvd, turn left (north) go 2 blocks to Pease Road turn right (east) go 1/2 mile to E. Whitmarsh, turn right (south) go .2 of a mile, on left.
