Precinct Committee Officers (PCOs), and Precinct Captains (PCs) comprise the Skagit County Republican Party Central Committee. They are the grassroots citizen volunteers connected to the Republican Party. They are an important link between the people who make our society work and the political party that wishes to serve them; they are instrumental in choosing potential state and local government representatives, "Get Out the Vote" efforts, voter registration drives, and arranging election-year caucuses. They are also a good source of information about candidates and Republican policy positions.
PCOs and PCs are voting members of the Republican Party who represent their community and make up the foundation of the SCRP.
PCOs and PCs help the Republican Party Succeed by:
1. Influencing the policies and overall direction of the Republican Party
2. Deciding who represents the Republican Party
3. Electing Leaders of the Republican Party who truly represent We the People!
There are 121 voting precincts in Skagit County, and the PCOs and PCs are your neighborhood representatives to the county, State, and RNC GOP.

Our long-term goal is to have our state legislators pass meaningful election reform laws that require all counties to stop using any imaging/scanning / tabulating machines for counting votes and return us to the proper “gold standard” of counting votes: same-day, in-person voting with ID. Hand-counting at local polling locations before the paper ballots are allowed to leave the premises, and making voting by mail the exception, not the rule.
Another step in taking back our government is to elect better people (True Conservatives) who will put ego aside, be team players, and truly obey the U.S. and State Constitutions. This starts with quality candidates WHO ARE QUALIFIED FOR THE POSITION. We can't afford to have candidates who lack the qualifications to run for office. The candidate also MUST have a realistic ability to win!
If your voting precinct currently has no PCO / OPEN please consider joining the Skagit County Republican Party PCO and Precinct Captains Team that makes up the SCRP Central Committee to help serve and represent your friends, neighbors, and community. For more info, email chair@skagitgop.org.
