A special Precinct Committee Officers (PCO) meeting will be held on Wednesday, September 6th at 7 PM; the venue will be Hadley Hall in Arlington. The purpose of the meeting will be to qualify three candidates for the Legislative District 39 State Representative House seat that is being vacated by John Koster effective August 31st, 2017.
Voting members will be the PCO's of the 39th LD (11 from Skagit County and 29 from Snohomish County). King County has no PCO's in LD 39. This is a rare opportunity for PCO's to directly participate in the appointment process of a Republican party member to the State Legislature.
The 3 top nominees will be forwarded to the Washington State Republican Party Central Committee Executive Board for ratification, and then submitted to the Skagit County Board of Commissioners and the Snohomish and King County Councils for the selection of one candidate to fill the said vacancy.
The following is the most updated list of official candidates:
Carolyn Eslick (Sultan)
Georgene Faries (Arlington)
Tom Fitsgerald (Granite Falls)
Bronn Journey (Snohomish)
Elizabeth Scott (Monroe)
Robert Zimmerman (Monroe)
